Roast intensity pairs well with big body and mildly present acidity. Rustic dark chocolate, raisin, puffed rice, creamy mouthfeel, with interesting accents of spice and green herbs. City+ to Full City+. Good for espresso.
The fragrance of the dry grounds had savory-sweet notes of chocolate-sesame halva, toffee-coated peanut, with hints of molasses, and honey wheat bread. The wet aroma pulled out bittersweet notes, cocoa powder and toasted sugars, accented by dried herbs and baking spices. At City+, the cup offers very nice roast intensity that pairs well with big body and mildly present acidity. The brew shows an interesting herbaceous quality that we found unique, like sweet basil, and even a hint of spearmint. Fazenda Paraiso cools to notes of rustic dark chocolate, raisin, and puffed rice cereal in the finish. At Full City, it has the kind of bittersweet low tones and creamy mouthfeel that are well suited for milk drinks too. I pulled a shot with just two days rest and it presented bittersweet tones of burnt caramel and dark cocoa, with creamy mouthfeel that's permeated by hints of vanilla bean, and butter toffee chocolate bar.
